To maintain your registration with the General Dental Council you must complete:

10 hours verifiable CPD each year and 20 hours non-verifiable
CPD each year.
CPD4dentalnurses.co.uk will provide you with access to CPD which is exclusively for dental nurses and covers all the core subjects. Once you have registered you can access the members only pages, read the online articles and complete the interactive questionnaire with instant results.
The core subjects as specified by the General Dental Council are:
- Medical emergencies (at least 10 hours verifiable on this topic over the 5 year period)
- Disinfection and decontamination (at least 5 verifiable hours over 5 years)
- Radiography / radiation protection (at least 5 verifiable hours over 5 years)
And for dental care professionals working in a clinical environment (either non-verifiable or verifiable):
- Legal and ethical issues
- Complaints handling
